Sneak Attack

Goodness! What is up with these guys? My HT called and invited to come watch a movie at his house after institute last night. I agreed, assuming there'd be a group of people. When I got there it was most definitely a double date. Oh no! How did I get suckered into a sneak attack date? Maybe I'm just too naive. I thought we were just friends. I hadn't noticed him putting out any other vibes so he caught me completely off guard.
Lynne went to eat with about half the class while I was stuck on an accidental date. She laughed when I told her the story.
I guess next time I'm not sure I'll just ask to bring a friend along.

Megan's "Sneak Attack" Date

There wasn't much going on this past Saturday night. Lynne, Jane and Katie had gone to see a movie that I had just seen the night before. I decided to hang out with an old friend Josh. We went to my favorite frozen yogurt place, and hung out for a bit. Now, I love my friend, but I have to limit my time with him or he starts getting crazy ideas in his head (i.e. trying to kiss me while watching a movie, trying to hold my hand at the mall, you get the idea.) So, I was looking for something to do until my girls got out of the movie.
I text my friend Dennis who lives with a bunch of guys that are always doing something. I would have preferred to text his roommate, Nick, but Nick recently got a girlfriend, so he was off limits.
Dennis texts me back saying that they aren't doing anything tonight, just watching TV.
Dang.
I get another text from him asking me to the movies...
Crap.
Here's the thing.. I can't say that I have other plans, because I just asked him if he and his roommates were doing anything! So, I lie. I tell him I'm kind of poor right now, and movies wouldn't be such a good idea.
He writes back saying no problem, I can get you.
Again, crap.
He totally sneak attacked me!
What's a girl to do??
I ended up seeing some scary movie that I had no interest in, with a date that I had no interest in.
What a Saturday night, huh?

Dan's Awkward Date

Dan shared a good date story last night. So here's one for the boys....

Dan got asked out by a girl to see a show. She made it sound like she had an extra ticket and did Dan want to go with her so it wouldn't go to waste? Sneaky girl. Well, Dan naively agrees. But it turns out this is not just Dan and the girl. It was a double date and Dan didn't even know about the other couple until they got to dinner. A dinner which Dan didn't know about until they were driving there. With the other couple. After dinner they go for a massage. A couples massage. Each couple is put in their own rooms and told to undress and get on the table under the sheets. Well, I don't know about you, but Dan was a little less than excited about getting naked in front of a girl he barely knew and had tricked him into a full blown date. They awkwardly agreed to turn around and face opposite walls while stripping down to their birthday suites. The rest of the date is pretty normal. They go to the show. Everyone goes home happy. Except Dan. Who was sneak attacked into a VERY awkward date.
