Shallow?

Jamie- our serial internet dater- reported some disturbing news. She had a regular "cute" picture posted on her profile and got regular attention from men in the form of emails and wanting to take her out on dates. However, she updated her picture yesterday to a more recent, and self proclaimed "cuter" picture of herself and all of a sudden the men are pouring in. Including men that SHE had attempted to contact, that had blown her off. All of a sudden now that she is looking better in the new picture (and the original wasn't bad) she's getting oodles of attention from men who seemed to be uninterested before. Her theory? Men are shallow and because she looks "prettier" in this new picture men who hadn't given her the time of day a week ago are all of the sudden very interested. This disappoints me. I would hope that this sort of thing stopped when we all graduated college. Apparently not.
