There is a Valentine's Day themed activity coming up at church pretty soon and I have been planning on attending. They are encouraging us to bring a date, but saying if we don't have a date to still come. But LBC, they are REALLY stressing that it'd be EXTRA nice if we had dates.
I went last year with Jane and though that doesn't count as a date we had a blast. I'm not sure why the boys in my ward don't ask me out (hint hint Clueless!!!) but I wanted to go.....UNTIL Andi made a good point. Why should I go if I don't have a date? If I do the same guys I hang out with all the time will still get to enjoy my company the same as if they had asked me to be their date. So they have no incentive to ask anyone if they still get to hang out with us....Hmmm....
I'm not sure how I feel about this yet.
What do you think?
Should I go even if I don't have a "date" or should a make a statement by NOT going to show the guys they can't get my company for free?
