Stinky

Next time a man asks me what my favorite flowers are will someone PLEASE remind me NOT to say Lilly's? As pretty as they are, my little buds have all opened and now my palace stinks! Gross! I'm gonna have to throw them away, just as they're really getting pretty.
I would've said roses but I was worried he might actually get me flowers (which he did) and I didn't want to send the wrong message.
I haven't sent any wrong messages, but must live with the smell or toss them out.
Any suggestions?
